Cool websites

OK my job at the moment is utter balls, apart from the fact I get internet access.

But I've gotten bored with visiting the same **** every day in work. I need some quirky new sites to keep me entertained. Currently, I'm just browsing forums and music sites, as well as wikipedia (although wiki isn't ideal because I don't have time to read whole articles). The Onion as well, but there's only so much of that I can read. So I need some sites that are interesting, funny, condensed, and most importantly are informative. Informative about something. Anything, from fashion to music to politics to biking to weird subcultures. It can be a cool blog, zine, forum, message board, ANYTHING! Just, no video sites like Youtube, and no porn sites or anything that'll get me fired. Also, nothing to do with video games, because video games suck.

That was boring.

Just list some sites you like and frequest, apart from the wonderful musicbanter.com

I'll send you my love from work tomorrow, kthxbye.

They focus on really obscure emo, from the 90s

Other than that I'd say just read music blogs once you find one you like they have like 50 links to similar ones.

The Best Page in the Universe
The Second Best Page in the Universe

Those two sites have enough funny **** for you to read to keep you busy for awhile. There's also a Third Best Page in the Universe, but I haven't checked it out yet so I don't know if its any good.

I'm familiar with Maddox, which I got kind of tired with a while ago (I used to read it all the time). I re-read some of the stuff though, which was fun. I'll check out the other one.

Cool sites. This has reminded me that I need to check out Versoma.

Thanks to both.

Surely some other people know some more? What other sites do you visit a lot, c'mon.

There's always Main Page - Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia, they've got some funny articles. Very hit-or-miss though. And frankly, I never get bored of wikipedia. Check out their article on the topography of the universe, it'll blow your mind.

Uncyclopedia is good. Some real funny **** on there.

I hope that adidasss and tore aren't offended if I repost this exchange of theirs that took place recently in the Stereo&Production sub forum. At a glance, tore's recommendation looks like quite a decent website and I wouldn't like the link that he's posted to just disappear in a thread dedicated to a completely different topic. At least by re-posting it here, there'll be two places to discover it, and it'll disappear into a correct, more relevant thread. :)

Sure I do :) From your description, I would recommend the Steve Hoffman forums. I've used them a little bit and find them to be very active, mature and friendly.

meh steve Hoffman is kind of just a bathing area for classic rockists. it's certainly active, but the bulk of it is either uninteresting or overkill
