I spent all week on the phone, now I have hearing aids.
Haha... *silence* okay, that was lame. But that's very good news. |
so i dont have to use a codom no mo when im nailing starvingartless mom? fo sho!
i actually i heard something about this a while back. great news, but unfortunatly for people with aids right now i imagine it is at least 10 years from being commercially available/effective. |
Plus, the production costs will probably be very high to begin with so it'll probably be an extra ten years before most infected people in devloped countries can afford it.
At least it looks like the discoveries have been done by university groups, so it might be a bit more freely and cheaply available than if it the developments were all by pharmaceutical companies. Even then, you can guarantee that it'll cost an arm and a leg to save the rest of the body. |

Damn, no *** jokes. that's queer.
Honestly, this is really cool, especially for places where AIDS is a more serious epidemic; third world countries too poor to afford rubbers.:tramp: |
I'm going to go ahead and guess that this cure will cost more than a ****load of condoms.
|
Well, if the heart of medicine is generous, they'll distribute it for a low price.

Once scientists in India get their hands on it there's a good chance they'll figure out a way to copy the process anyway, so hopefully a low price would be achieved through derivatives. But I can't imagine that a company would develop a life-saving drug only to make it cheaply available themselves. That just doesn't fit with most of our business values! A company, or university, that acts like that generally isn't a company that makes enough money to fund big research. |
