Anyone know how to work with this thang? I need to cut and paste something and I have no idea how to do it....>:[

Photoshop is pretty hard to use unless your a 'pro'.

Then again there are quite a few tutorials around the web, so you'll probably find more luck there. That's where I usually turn when I wish to dabble in computer art programmes.

Use a selection tool (rectangular marquee, ovoid marquee, magnetic lasso, magic lasso, etc) to select the area you wish to copy and paste, then press CTRL+C. Press CTRL+V to paste the object. The object will be pasted onto a new layer and can be modified/moved without affecting the previous image you pasted it on to.

yeah, except ctrl c is copy and v is paste. also x is cut.

edit: there's also an option somewhere in the tool bar that's "paste in place" which will put whatever you cut in a new layer but in the same spot where it used to be, so you don't have to try and move it around and get rid of that annoying ****ing white border
