I have like 250GB of space though.

But I can't download and run sweet **** all or my computer freezes up. :(

EDIT: How much does yer average RAM upgrade cost? I may just finally go down to the computer shop and get one, if it's not too expensive. If it is I'll just buy another bag of weed to keep me patient.

EDIT EDIT: Ah, one more question. Anybody have any idea how much an external hard drive might cost? I just have this huge fear of my computer ****ing up once again and losing all of my music. Would be nice to have something to store it on, just in case. Well, not all of it, just my favourite albums. 50GB or so should be enough.

This is in pounds (so probably nearly double for dollars) but RAM can come in from £20 up to about £60. All depends what size and what type (there is DDR RAM, DDR2 RAM, DIMM RAM etc).

I bought an external HD that is USB powered and it is as small as a note book. 250 gb for £60. Can't go wrong really.

ultra bump

Currently:

Intel Core 2 Duo e8400 3ghz @ 3.6ghz
GeForce 8800GTS 512mb (g92) overclocked
4gb DDR2 OCZ 800 @ 960 5-5-5-15
Gigabyte P35 DS3L socket 775
OCZ 600W PSU
Some 7200rpm HDDs

As of 12/25:

Intel i5 2500K (quad core 3.3ghz)
8gb DDR3 G.Skill Ripjaws 1600
GeForce 8800GTS 512mb (g92) overclocked
ASRock Extreme3 Gen3 Z68 socket 1155
OCZ 600W PSU
Some 7200rpm HDDs

I think I will hold out for a next gen GPU, they are 6 months or less away. And I should get a SSD soon...

That's an ultra bump.

Got a Core2duo E6750 with 4gigs of ram, 500gb hd, geforce 8800gs on a Gigabyte motherboard for my office needs and a AMD Athlon 64 x2 3ghz with 4 gigs of ram, 1TB and 500GB HD, Geforce 9600GT, ESI Juli@ on an Asus mobo for audio/video editing.
I've got a IBM T60 laptop (hi res version with intel videochip) 2gb ram, 80gb hd and a guest laptop (yes really :D) Dell D410, 2gb ram, 40gb hd.

Then there's a Fujitsu Siemens X103 Pentium IV 3ghz PC where I store my records that are 'to be sold' and then... 15 other PC's and 10 other laptops, even three macs, varying from 166mhz to 3ghz :). Old stuff.

I used to have one of those. Worst experience of my life. If you ever consider upgrading. Don't upgrade your computer. Most likely you will have to be paying a premium for overpriced archaic technology. Start from scratch. Computer game is extremely cheap right.

Also my lappy has an i5-2410m 4Gb DDR3 640gb HDD and a GT540m not bad for 650 bucks. Battery life is surprisingly good too can get 3 or 4 hours on it doing usual stuff (watch movies). I can't play games though when im unplugged for some reason its just stutters like hell which isn't an issue though since I am usually sitting some where were I can use a mouse and have access to a plugin.
