You guys don't know what you're missing.

Seriously the type of people who enjoy music and much as the hardcore fans on this site would love the tireless effort the shows writers and creators put into making each episode.

They are littered with brilliant literary references, intriguing dialog and more mystery then Twin Peaks (you probably have no idea what that is) and Dallas (that either) put together. Dallas sucked by the way. But who shot J.R etc cultural phenomenon blah blah blah.

yea, my bf got me into this show once, and I was all into it, but then I got really sick for about 3 weeks and basically watched the show but couldn't really remember anything that I watched cause I was so out of it. And when I tried to get back into the show I couldn't follow it.

But I guess i'll give it another shot.

It is a highly involved show and if you don't own a Tivo I wouldn't recommend it.

It's tough to follow I suppose, but if you have some friends who watch it or listen to a podcast along with it, you can piece it together quite nicely.

CAPTAIN CAVEMAN 09-28-2007 06:31 PM

I didn't watch Lost 'till the beginning of the third season. I'm relatively caught up on everything, though.

Can't wait for it to come back.

Urban Hat€monger ? 09-28-2007 06:39 PM

Lost is OK when they can be bothered to write a plot for it.

It bugs me when they go 3 or 4 weeks with nothing new happening. The middle of the 3rd series was terrible for this.

I disagree, I thought this was the best season by far. Maybe if you're not 100% involved and don't pick up on the literary parallels it moves slow, but for me every couple episodes is like seeing another great movie.

Your complaint is a common one though.

I'd like to know why and how he got on the wing or wheel... Then surviving 450+ mph speeds at 30,000+ feet in the air. Kinda sketchy.

Don't know why you're laughing. That wasn't even remotely funny, there were no punchlines and there was nothing witty about it, it was one particular criticism of Lost being pointlessly dragged out by excruciatingly bad actors for 3 and a half minutes.

No episode of Lost was as badly written as that was, which kinda defeats the whole purpose of the satire.

it's not bull****; the kid climbed into the wheel well in the wing. he wasnt just hanging on to the wing completely exposed to the elements. and if you dont believe it, read this; this same thing has happened a few times before, and other people have survived.

http://www.globalscavengerhunt.com/p...blog%20jan.htm

"Bad Travel Trend…they found another body in the wheel-well of a British Airways jet that flew from London to LAX yesterday…if you remember, we had one of those stories a few weeks ago here…do I spot a bad travel trend? BTW…I checked, most die trying to travel like this from either extreme cold, that lack of oxygen thing at 39,000 feet, or from being unable to secure themselves when the landing gear doors open and fall more than 1,000 feet…but amazingly, a few folks have survived: according to the LATimes, in 2000, a man survived a flight from Papeete, French Polynesia, to LAX. His core body temperature when he was found at LAX was 79 degrees, well below what is normally fatal. A Cuban man made it alive to Montreal in the wheel well of a plane in 2002. And in 1999, an 18-year-old Senegalese man survived a five-hour flight to France--but ironically died after he stowed away on another flight later that year…dead set against buying a ticket I guess!"

so to all calling bull****...

would you like some milk to eat your words with?

Sparky 10-02-2007 09:54 PM

The Dave 10-02-2007 10:38 PM

Because Yahoo and CNN are the only two reliable sources......

sleepy jack 10-02-2007 10:45 PM

Yeah, because we all know russian news sites and a travelers blog are super super trustworthy.

The Dave 10-02-2007 10:47 PM

I still don't see it being utterly impossible, I'm going to ask my brother about it this weekend.

Stowaway survives eight-hour flight in wheel well Airline Industry Information - Find Articles

Jet wheel well stowaway found dead at LAX - Boing Boing

sleepy jack 10-02-2007 10:54 PM

I don't know about anyone else but i'd like to see an actual news source i've heard of. I also like how the story is being changed from site to site...

jibber 10-02-2007 10:55 PM

here's another account of a seperate incident, this time published by a news network in miami.

read the articles. the story actually isnt changing at all. the one story starts with a case of a man being found dead, and then explains a previous incident, the exact same one as the other articles, of the man who survived flying from polynesia to LAX

jibber 10-02-2007 11:00 PM

another story on the russian kid. science daily, seems pretty reliable no?

ScienceDaily: Teenager survives flight in jet wheel well

come on people, its not that hard to do a search on google

jibber 10-02-2007 11:02 PM

and lastly, bbc should be good enough for all of you:

BBC News | AMERICAS | 747 stowaway survives Pacific flight

pretty much owned
