I went to my friends a couple of weeks ago and he randomly overdosed on some sort of pills and was taking seizures. Probably one of the worst experiences I have encountered. It was so ****in scary. Doubt I will ever take pharmaceuticals that I'm not prescribed now. Unless it's an odd Valium to help me sleep.
I also seen someone on ecstasy for the first time when I wasn't taking it, the guy was freaking me out. I'm pretty cautious about drugs now, I'll stick with my weed thx. |

Anyone ever tripped alone their first time trippin?
I don't have dependable/trustworthy/decent friends but have always wanted to try shrooms. I've little experience with drugs, smoked weed a couple times but was indifferent. Did E once and it was okay. I've always been a drinker when it comes to vices. I worry because everything I've heard and read says that shrooms are really iffy for people who can be emotionally unstable and I've dealt with clinical depression and anxiety problems for about 8 years now. If I don't have someone with me and things go down hill what's the worst that could happen? I was just planning on hanging out in my room and painting, hanging out at the beach, or watching a movie. Alice on Wonderland + Shrooms = fun times from what I hear. |

You mention you have anxiety and clinical depression, my advice is DON'T TAKE psychedelics. They're non-toxic so there's no physical danger (unless you do something silly like jump out of a window thinking you can fly :D), but they are known to exasperate existing/hidden mental problems. If you do decide to take 'em, tripping on your own can be good, it all depends on what's going on in your subconscious. Having someone around will prevent you falling into yourself, prevent you from analysing each and every crazy thought and emotion. Whether that's a good thing or not depends on the thoughts. Bon voyage if you do decide to go ahead. :) |

Well, that's not true. At least not in the long run. See article #2

I dunno, man. I know two people who are completely f*cked up through taking psychedelics. The first guy, he was really outgoing and charsomatic, he dropped LSD and that was it. Agraphobic. He ain't left the house for coming on 12 years. Whatever mental problems he had lying dormant, the LSD awoke it.
Another guy I know, quite sane, took LSD and he's now lost to the world. Nobody can talk to him anymore, he makes no sense. His mind, his presence, they're gone. |
