It's because your not allowed to discipline kids anymore. So now you pump them full of drugs instead.

That way their behaviour is making a profit rather than costing anything to discipline them.

That's my paranoid take on it anyway.

I mean hyperactive kids? All kids are bloody hyperactive , thats what kids do.

I'd guess at it having more to do with large medical bills than anything else.

That first shrink, before I told her to **** off, told me I had bi-polar disorder. My dad also has it and he's taking Lithium Carbonyte for it, been doing so since he was about my age. But I refused her medication, as at that time I was only taking drugs that weren't in my prescription name ;).

I've had a share of good slappings haha. I'm not against diciplining (sp?) kids, though I don't believe in taking the Bing Crosby approach. Not saying that was what was done with me. But what was it Henry Hill said?... Everyone takes a beating sometimes ha. And it is what it is, aye? Whatever.... I was crying I think, not because of nicotine withdrawl, but because I didn't wanna do it at all.

I believe a tantrum is something done to get attention? Yet I was completely alone.

No love for opiates? Opiates are great and make you feel all nice and fuzzy inside. They also make you get really drunk really quickly, and really high from less bud. :thumb:

Opiates are great, highly not recommended. :thumb:

It makes me wonder what qualifies you for therapy/medication.
Is the criteria less demanding in the U.S than say the U.K?

Here, you either have to try and kill yourself, or somebody else before even being considered "not right in the head"...

Don't pigeonhole Americans as whiny bitches because a few outspoken inviduals suck at life. The rest of us are just fine. :)
