Ha! Ha! Watch This

I don't know how many of you have seen this, but it's awesome

I'd heard that Nirvana's performance on the BBC was their quintessential FU to the media. Kurt Cobain never made a secret about his loathing for the media. He would constantly screw with gullible interviewers and give them fictitious answers.
Well, here he is performing on the BBC. They apparently ask their musical guests to joyfully pantomime along with the music, and this is the result: Cobain not even making an attempt to play the guitar, and Novoselic wildly flailing his bass around in a way that couldn't bear semblance to one playing it, and Grohl totally out of sync. What a way to say screw you to the media, who is always portraying things differently than they actually are, and asking the world's hottest commodity at the time to go up on stage, and pretend to be really enjoying their fake plastic performance, so it could be all packaged up for the BBC. BBC didn't know what they were in for. Enjoy!

I actually think this is a pretty sh*tty thing to do by Cobain.

If it was any other media organisation i'd say it was deserved. But this is the BBC , the same BBC who would give exposure and go around recording hundreds of sessions and gigs by the underground bands he said he loved so much.
Including his own band, the BBC were probably the only media organisation in the world that actually gave a sh*t about Bleach when it came out & played the thing.

In conclusion : F*ck Kurt Cobain and the commercial pop album he was promoting at the time he did this.

I prefer this to the album version.

Besides, can you really blame them for putting on a good show?
