This is more of a collab. A friend of mine drew me some lineart of Professor Layton and Luke, so I did some quick, messy marker coloring and photoshop editing on it. Tried to get rid of the blue lines from the paper as best as I could, but there's obviously still quite a bit left.

Wow, that's very good, especially the first one. You have everything there, like an exercise in what makes a compelling, successful composition. There's deep perspective, contrast of light and shadow that goes from deep black and shining white to their interplay, softening of edges. I like that. Straight lines and planes that deepen the space contrasted with that curved massive wall in the front that pulls the viewer in, closer to the dark hallway. The white slant of the ceiling makes a bridge between these planes and curves and helps make a balance, I feel.

The chair is a nice touch. It stops our eye for a moment before going down the dark hallway. It adds to the mystery, but since it's underneath that massive white slope, it feels weight, almost crushed. This especially adds to the overall uneasiness of the picture. Well done!

Hey, maybe when you asked for our thought you didn't want babbling, but I was inspired :o:

Wowza. Not what i was expecting. Thank You!

I think it looks kind of cool with the blue lines actually. It add kind of an unexpected element to the piece.

I kinda wish I just left more of them on, maybe just erase a bit on the edges. Would it have made the whole thing look a bit more natural, like a piece of vintage lined paper...or something.

I've been itching to post here since I started work this morning, so now that I'm home I'm going to unleash my childish doodles. I haven't saved any of my really recent work, but I'll work on a few more doodles specifically for MB later. Anywho, here's a select few that I figured I'd show (I really could show my randomly crappy doodles all day, but I'll spare you).

This is something I've left laying around half finished for an unreasonably long time, and I'm picking it back up again.

I dig it. Are you using Prisma Color Pencils?

Thank you. I have only a small set of 24 Prisma colours to work with, and the rest of the shades are generic coloured pencils.

something I made earlier this fall for school. I never got a pic of it finished..

the project I am working on now.. this was the sketch after the first day.
I made a grid of 1.5cm x 1.5cm and am using pen and ink to fill in each square..
there are roughly 980 squares. I've got about 300 more to go. It's turning out well :)
