Not yet, I still haven't received it back from the woman who matted it.

Nah, it's what everyone expects of me, so naturally, it's the last thing I actually want to do.

Ya, I understand. But you should give it a go, you're very talented and have a great eye for colour and detail. Plus you can always get discounted supplies as a student (at least here you can)

Thank you. I may pick it up as an elective, just to improve my knowledge and skills for a hobby, but I find that doing artwork for anybody but myself takes the enjoyment right out of it.

Though you're right, it would be nice to shape up those skills on the side of what I actually want to study.

I'm not nick picking or anything, but why is there more detail in the reflection of the sun glasses than in the background? I think it gives it this a really surreal quality seeing the washed out/grainy background and clearly seeing amazing scenery in the that small reflection. It's beautiful, but it messes with my head a bit... I love it!

Thank you. It's because of the reference photo. The background was out of focus.

If anyone has any tips for clouds and/or sand (especially sand), I'd REALLY REALLY REALLY love to hear from you. Please. I'm failing at both ATM.
