It's not about what people think of me, it's unsettling to think that the way I perceive the world might be off and there's nothing I can do to fix it.

No one I've ever dated listens to anything I really like.

It's definitely about what other people think of you. You should be fine perceiving the world from your point of view even if it make look like it's off compared to others. Don't worry about trying to fix it. It's just how you view the world your own unique take on it. The only time you run into an issue is when you have to work with other people and your ideals start to clash but stand your ground and stay true to who you are. If you don't stand for something you'll fall for everything.

Okay, I'm done with the cliches for now.

There's no such thing as true perception anyways.
