Closing manager (sort of new to the department) wasted so much of my time tonight that it took me forever to get anything done.

He's cool and everything but god damn it, don't ask me to run your register when I have things to do and you don't. I'm the fitting room attendant, not the backup for my incompetent supervisor. :mad:

What's worse is when they start expecting you to help and then flip their s**t when you can't. The old adage of "give them an inch, they'll take a mile" is so true.

I just don't get it. I've never been asked to cover for a supervisor at the end of the night because the others step their damn game up, do their job, suck it up, and know how to tactfully dole tasks out to others. This guy just doesn't get it. Maybe I just feel this way because I used to be a supervisor and the role is natural to me (but not so much to others) but then he wasted another 20 minutes on irrelevant bull**** when we were getting ready to clock out (after being there for an extra hour and 10 minutes after closing).

I just can't deal with this guy sometimes.
