Sorry to hear about your mom's cat. Poor baby. :( It's such a shame that animals don't live as long as we do.

I think they live much shorter lives so that we can have lots of them in our lifetimes! As it is there's so many of them that can't find homes. Imagine if they lived 60-70 years!

You have a point there. But the pain of losing them is so horrible. I still mourn the loss of the cat I grew up with and it's been like 3 years.

Agreed. We can hardly take care of each other. I haven't meant many people that I consider qualified to own pets.

People are always talking back, down to and over me but today's really outdone itself with the sheer volume of people being rude to me. :/

Whenever I have days like this I think about the sign I'll have posted at the cafe I will one day own and operate-

"Rude people may be subject to inferior service. Deal with it."

I'm not a fan of confrontation but with the right tone a little fire against fire works sometimes.

You strike me as a chilled out quiet person, and unfortunately, the obnoxious attention hungry folk of this world interpret it as weakness. Its pretty fvcked up when they're the ones who seem pathetic.

Yes!! I'm naturally soft-spoken and I try so hard to raise my voice but it just doesn't work. I'm nowhere near as timid as I was in my youth but I don't spend an awful lot of time with smalltalk like most people do.
