I bet cassettes start making a comeback (retro, ya know dude? Oh you MUST hear one!) and then accordingly the price of crappy tape decks will skyrocket. Luckily I still have mine...

and my Walkman :shycouch:

Cassettes already have made a comeback. At least with punk/underground rock. I'm honestly not a fan and never have been- too fragile.

ugh, same.

I've fucked up more cassettes than anything, I swear.

Left a ton of them in the car one time in the summer and they all went to hell. :(

Surprisingly I've never scuffed a record.

I have a shitload of vinyl, and a lot less CDs (the ones I have are mostly just for backup/music that I wanted to save years ago).

I really need to figure out a different setup for my record player. The cat likes to get into everything, and I don't want my collection to be one of them.

i know people say they have vinyl for sound differences or whatever but i honestly probably couldn't tell the difference. i know its sort of a hipster thing too but that sort of thing doesn't really interest me much, plus i'm cheap as hell so i pirate basically all the content i can online and don't pay for ****.

Spotify > piracy.

the difference is noticeable but I play my records because they're comforting. :)

There's actually a pretty significant difference in quality. From my experience, a vinyl copy of my favorite album sounds so much more crisp and full as opposed to listening to a CD version / mp3. You hear a lot more through vinyl than you would otherwise, at least from my experience.

I think I am the last man on Earth to pay for stuff.

you could be right cause i haven't really listened to vinyl like that but at the end of the day the **** i listen to sounds perfectly clear to me and its portable and free so i'm really not trying to fix what's not even broken.

one of them, i'm sure.

ladyislingering 11-29-2014 07:48 PM

the truth about vinyl is that a lot more sound exists in the grooves of a record than any other format.

so you get the warm, full-bodied musical experience.

you just have to keep your records clean, don't get your fingerprints all over them, and be respectful with storing them.
