Can't seem to stay in a hotel longer than two weeks without having to find a new one. Every two weeks, for the last 15 months.

That sounds very expensive.

They all cost pretty much the same

Are you traveling?

Mondo Bungle 12-14-2014 11:46 AM

Nope. We just get kicked out for not paying. So we gotta find a new place to live like twice a month. This hotel was the best so far in terms of room size, it has a full kitchen and two beds, but we're gonna have to get a new one pretty quick.

but substantially more than a place of your own.

(though there are some motels I've seen as low as $40/night, but they're usually pretty gross.)

Which averages $800/mo. I guess that's the same price as a decent apartment but I wouldn't stay in a motel more than a few days.

I remember the cheapest hotel I stayed in in Reno, there were roaches all over, and then I shook the shower curtain and at least 20 flew off of it.

I think I might have lived in every hotel there.

Gross. That's pretty vile, dude.

So what got you into a situation like this? (If you don't mind talking about it.)

Mondo Bungle 12-14-2014 11:59 AM

I guess my parents just don't make enough money. And when we moved from Reno to where we are now (south lake tahoe), it took them like 4 months to find jobs, so we lived in the cheapest motel possible, or my dad's truck, because all the money available was going to pay for a storage unit in Reno. I think paying for that is the biggest setback.

But I mean, I'm not doing anything to help so I don't have much room to complain.
