Yeller is not a color.

I have just this minute, at the age of twenty-eight, on Monday, June 1, 2015, realized that "Old Yeller" is in reference to the dog's coloring, and not his being loud.

In my defense, I do not have that kind of accent and don't know anyone who does either, and I have also never seen that movie.

but you live where people still say yeller,yonder and holler.

I really don't. I'm sure they're somewhere to the west, but here on the east coast of Virginia we talk like human beings.

Yeller is a color, yonder is a place, and bless your heart ain't a compliment.
