^ My most recent first aid instructor told me he was having issues with heartburn and was prescribed an antacid which helped him sleep through the night, but he didn't change his eating habits at all, so he was still having acid reflux he just couldn't feel it. Now he has stage four esophageal cancer. Definitely go to the doctor.

If it's genetic, dietary, or both (like me), omeprazole is your friend.
