Then they should call it delivery order including tossing time. At least then I'd know. ****ing annoying though that I've been charged so much (comparatively, given the prices of the books) for delivery and yet I'm going to be waiting as long as if I had bought this off ebay from a Chinese seller. Lazy ****ing Brits. I suppose after Brexit it'll cost a **** ton more, too, and take longer, since they're being towed out into the North Sea so as not to be contaminated by us Eurotrash.

To be completely honest, I'd got so many "red warnings" (ie this product cannot be delivered to your address, please choose another - as if I live in two countries) that when I didn't get it the last time I just pressed the commit button. Should have checked. But I still would have had to do it anyway. I repeat: lazy ****ing ****s.

What did you think the date range meant? If I'm reading correctly, it arrived within that timeline so you should have known.

You're not reading anything, so how can you know? I never said: so for all you know, the dates could have been Feb 22 to March 1, but it hasn't arrived, and isn't slated to till March 16. So I don't know how you can make that statement unless you've seen my order which of course you have not.

Wasn't like this in my day Amazon blah blah people knew the value of things blah blah fair day's work for a fair day's pay etc.

Actually, it was: I worked for almost thirty years within the freight logistics sector and they were always the ****ing same.

So you misread or didn't read the estimated shipping date range and want Amazon to pay.

Yes.

Actually, I don't want them to pay anything. I'm just annoyed. I don't see how it can take 3/4 weeks to get something small shipped from the yoo-****ing-kay!

But if anyone's offering to sacrifice their customer services department to the Great Lord Cth'ulu, I won't stop them.

Remove the mod-approval for journal posts, PLEASE!

What would actually make sense was if the journal owner's posts appeared immediately, while the journal owner - not a mod - would be allowed to OK posts by other users.

I agree. After a little digging, I found that a "Usergroup" could be setup, but I haven't dug that far into it. Hell, I don't know, I could even be looking at something completely different, but it seems all functions and support for journal development within vBulletin is laid out here:

It certainly mentions the following three bulletpoints:

- Comment on entries or journals
- Journal Moderation(Like Post and Thread Moderation)
- Entry Moderation(Like Post and Thread Moderation)

So one would think that there's some answers in there, but I don't have much of an idea of how one would go about actually changing it.

Whoa! This is some old tech.

Even now, barely a month after my brother died, my mother still regularly links me to autism-related pseudo science websites which essentially paint autistic kids as a curse that needs to be "cured" (much like the Autism Speaks people). She still believes all of that nonsense. She thinks that if he hadn't been autistic then he wouldn't have died somehow. (???) That it was a terrible and tragic curse, essentially. She infantilized him in ways. Of course she never mistreated him, but she has always bought into all those harmful notions and nonsensical theories which suggest that ~EMF fields and gluten and whatever "worsen autism" or even cause it. For 26 years she has refused to listen to reason. (Of course, she's grieving, and I can't pretend to understand what a loss of a child feels like-- as opposed to the loss of a sibling--so it's difficult to necessarily hold any of this against her at this very moment, but I am so tired. This attitude toward autism is so, so common and absolutely none of them listen ever. It breaks my heart.)

I'm really sorry, Chio. Some people seem to be just like that no matter what you do or how you debunk the "theories" they cling to. My sister (not the one I live with) has two grandchildren who are both autistic, and their mother (her daughter, of course) is far more advanced in her acceptance and treatment of them. Eat some trashy food, watch a trashy movie and just chill. Some things aren't worth getting yourself upset over for nothing, especially when there's nothing you can do to change the situation.
