Actually that's another thing that I like to bitch about. Stupid people that work at music stores that are meant to know what I'm talking about. I don't care if some mainstream pop-puke like the Pussycat Dolls just released another album ladened with fresh turd, I want you to tell me about the artist/s I care about. No they just look at you with a blank stare and wonder if I own anything 'popular' at all... sigh

i hate those people too! Not just in music stores, just anything that needs some some kind of knowledge, you find them planted there.

Last time I was in the bookstore, I was asking for A clockwork orange book. After this stupid girl searched for it on her PC, she tells me: "Oh, we have one, but it's the kids version"...

I wonder how they are going to tell the kids that Alex spent his life butchering women after raping them.

It's a sad day when a man can't get into a pub dressed as Honest Abe Lincoln.

It happens anywhere and everywhere. I thought that you're meant to be employed because you have the knowledge? It's funny though that when you finally do come across someone that knows what you're talking about they actually don't work at the store. I remember one time when I was looking for a certain album I started talking to a person looking in the same section as me (after walking away in frustration at the 'music' person leading me around aimlessly). The person that I was talking too knew exactly what I was talking about and we both found the album eventually, quicker than walking around with someone that was into nothing I was.

One more annoying thing is when someone is very biased towards your opinion. Shouldn't they be told to respect the customers taste in whatever. This mostly happens in games stores when you are into a certain console and the person thats serves you is a major fanboy and is prepared to mock the console you're into.
:soapbox:

The other time I was asking for a Matt Groening book, and she looks at me, that same stupid girl, and she tells me "Isn't The Simpsons a kids show" -_- like what the fuck are your kids watching? Maybe giving them a porn movie in kindergarten, or just having them watch a snuff film?!

DiSTANToblivion 12-19-2009 07:22 AM

bahahahaha...
Does this girl still work at the bookstore? I wonder what sort of books she's reading? (actually on second thought I don't wanna know)

...well you know that her kids wont be reading The Hungry Hungry Caterpillar. The Hungry Hungry - 'something else' maybe but not The Caterpillar version.

Well it is the weekly trade album, and I was pretty excited about it :/

I think there's a problem with the upload. For the 4th time now it has stopped at 13.9mb, tho the connection is still well. It just isn't progressing past that number.

Are you using bittorrent by any chance? In that case, it sounds like a situation where all the seeders have deserted the torrent and it isn't possible to piece together the whole download from the small segments that each leecher possesses.

Haha I know what you mean - a few years ago when I was looking for a job back in my high school days, I was always so frustrated that I didn't have the connections to get a job in a CD shop because it was clear I knew more about music than most of the clueless workers.

I can get some good deals from the music store I go to nowadays but their product layout is quite atrocious and counter-productive if anything... when I see Captain Beefheart and Gentle Giant in the popular music section, I have to wonder whether it's an amusing joke or the fruits of idiocy. :D

For some odd reason no one in my house will let me sing at the top of my lungs at ten o'clock at night. I just don't understand. Besides that I'm good.

I once saw Creed in the metal section of the music store I shop at. I was left wondering why vomit bags weren't handed out when you walk in. :usehead:

Man, oh man. I feel there is too much stupid shit on this site now. Each day more and more garbage ass threads are thrown up.

Honestly, not everything's a personal attack to you, mom.
Sometimes we have questions, and ifi you don't have answers, don't say anything at all.
But do me a favour and stop thinking that everything's about yourself.
It's not my fault you spent your money on stupid **** and now we're living paycheck to paycheck.
None of this **** is my fault.
I want to go back to school.
I can't believe it's only been like hald a week and I'm already sick of this place.
