I worked at like the biggest shoe store in my area for a summer and we had a really limited selection for women sizes under 6 and mens sizes above 12. And customers would get an attitude with me cause we didn't carry their size in a shoe they wanted. Like it's me, Mr. minimum wage sales associate, that decides which sizes we carry.

I wish i could get a job so I could bitch more. I love bitching about work. I ref little kids basketball games on weekends and there have been so many times where I've wanted to eject a stupid mom or something, but I just can't find the nerve to eject a parent in a 3rd grade game. But some of the fans, usually moms, continuously yell stuff that makes no sense at all and makes it very clear they don't understand the rules.

Reminds me of something I hate. Ok first off, I am a sports junkie. Sports are my first love. So when I go to, lets say, a college basketball game, I realize going into the game that I have more knowledge than pretty much all the other fans at the game. So I know I have to be tolerable to stupid statements. But a few weeks ago I was at the Penn State-Michigan State game, sitting 10 rows up, and this older woman behind me kept making dumb comment after dumb comment, just screaming it right in my ear.

I don't get too bothered by dumb comments. I'm not one of those guys that gets all pretentious because someone doesn't know as much about sports as me. I understand that most people don't, just as I don't know nearly as much as they do at their hobbies/interests. If I was to go somewhere where I didn't really have great knowledge of the subject (lets say a ballet recital or fashion show), I definitely wouldn't be commenting and criticizing the entire time. So either these people think they understand, or they realize they don't but they just don't care. I know it's a sporting event and they can say what they want, but it's annoying to here coaching advice and criticism from people all game when they dont even understand it

Yes women tend to be the worst at it. They just say things out of spite with no logic to it what so ever. Some more than others. Even the ones that are somewhat knowledgeable still lack a complete understanding for whats going on. So when you explain it them...the comeback they all seem to use is..(well thats stupid) Yes I know exzactly what you mean.

Haha yep, heard that comeback plenty of times. It's not even worth explaining the rules or strategy sometimes cause it seems like it's rarely understood and just gets a "well thats dumb!" response in return. There was 20 seconds left in the 1st half. And the shot clock is 35 so obviously Penn State was holding for the last shot. So Penn State just held the ball out near mid court until there was like 6 or 7 seconds left and the whole time he's holding the ball out there she's yelling "Cmon coach!!! Run a play, stop standing around!" And I just gotta shake my head. I want to politely explain to her why they are doing that, but I know it will come off as rude no matter how I tell her and it's just not worth it.

Why can't you get a job?

I've applied a few places at the mall around here. I interviewed for a job on campus and didn't get the job. I knew from like a minute into the interview I wasn't gonna get it and the rest of the interview was really awkward cause we were just going through the motions. I'm in school so I'm trying to find a job that can fit my schedule of classes, but that's tough cause I have some morning classes and evening classes. I'd like to find somewhere just to work as weekend help or something. Not much up this way though. It's like a really small, boring town that wouldn't exist without the university and the gas money wouldn't be worth it to drive into the city area for part-time minimum wage. Gonna go this weekend and apply at some more places and check some classifieds cause I haven't heard back from anywhere. Which sucks cause I was hoping to get a job at a shoe place again since I have decent shoe knowledge and sales experience. But i was stupid and burned bridges at my old job so I can't use them as a reference :banghead:
