Which is funny, because she hates the feeling of getting older. So if I had a kid, that would probably be agonizing for her, lol.

Yeah, my mom got married at 20, almost 21. I'm 21 now, will be 22 in May. But she also never went to post secondary school of any kind. I told her that I have a very different life than she did at 21!

And I just love her little spiel about the "two years and no ring means he's wasting your time/not worth it." Well, Danijel's not wasting my time and I've only been with him for a year and a half so I'm gonna wait a little longer.

That's kinda insulting.

She just thinks I need to get a jump start on life. And the conversation took place at like, midnight, so she was probably just cranky.

time to rant a little bit:

1st possible job opportunity: at the aquarium. went in for an interview while having connections. tried to follow up about the interview and never got a call back, and they never called me back after I followed up.

2nd possible job opportunity (most recent): Aaron Brothers. the manager was supposed to call me yesterday and wasn't in the office, so I called and asked when she would be available, the guy said she'd be in today, so I assumed i'd get a call today. I didn't get a call. so I guess i'll call Monday. if I don't get scheduled for an interview or something, I don't know what else to do.

both of these were using the best tools at my disposal. one was the connections, and the other was me going in, meeting the assistant manager, and turning my app in on the same day.

i swear, if I don't get a job soon...

I hear you, man. I went over a year without a job after graduating high school and not through lack of trying.

Yeah, it's tough. I also have to take into the equation that I do live in a state that is very low in employment. I'm moving back to Seattle in a month or so for some personal reasons. The job market has been expanding a bit, so I think i'll be lucky.
