There isn't any resemblance, it's just that some metal has screaming, and screamo has "scream" in the name. That's literally it.

It's been maybe a decade since I met anyone in real life who even knew that screamo was a thing, so it's been a while since I've been annoyed by that.

I don't think I've actually ever listened to Screamo before, only metalcore that gets falsely labeled as Screamo.

Actually, no, I heard of Antioch Arrow because that emo dude from Dead End Hip Hop liked them so I looked them up and was disappointed in it.

The differenc between metal and screamo that I found was, screamo sounds like a whiny teenager recording a tantrum over being grounded in a studio they made in their bassment. Death Metal or Metalcore or any type of metal that has screaming sounds more like Satan being called in to rip a virgins flesh apart as he rapes em.

many hugs, my bro (not literally related to me but a very close friend of mine who I've looked out for since forever) is a junkie and doesn't care about anything anymore; I miss him more and more every single day.

Yeah that's pretty much it. In my maybe or not fortunate case it's more psychological. I'm narcissistic and have nothing to motivate me in any other directions so it's pretty ****ing appealing to have something that just cuts everyone and everything else out of my life for a while.
