College is scary and it feels like everyone is pressuring me to know exactly what I want to do.
I'm confused and scared and too far from home to take a break.
I don't have enough credits and being an English major is getting me nowhere and I'm stressed and just want to sleep.

Not really, it's just really easy to take people out of context here, and you're still relatively new. If you stay around a while, you will get a better grasp on people and their posting style. You'll find that people take a while to warm up to newbies. Just make intelligent and meaningful posts every now and then and don't spam up the place.
