It would be alot better if those third party companies didn't port the xbox360's versions of the games to the ps3....(somehow quality is reduced) Just look at the games that were exclusive to the ps3....they look alot better then games on the 360

I'm an electronics sales associate and I can personally vouch that we sell 10 times more 360's than PS3's. The major drawback for the PS3's is their lack of backwards compatibility. The 40GB runs $399 and does not play any PS2 games. The 80GB runs $499 and plays about 1/2 the PS2 games (why it won't play the other half is beyond me). With new games running $60 a pop, being able to play the games you already have is a must when you're shelling out $400+ on a new system.

I have too much fun with Music, Films and playing one handed poker (when you have a good hand you don't need a partner) to bother with games consoles.

When are people going to realise that games are a form of art?

I wouldn't say games are up to "art" level yet. It's still considered to much of a toy at this point.
