For about a month or two i was addicted to it and i'm glad i got out of that, it's silly really.
My friend's brother can get 70% on the Dragonforce song on expert. You have to have problems when you're at that stage i think!

Alfred 08-19-2008 05:13 PM

I read about this. They have lack of control if they let him do it because "they couldn't take the nagging anymore".

Why do we have so many idiots in the world today?

sweet_nothing 08-19-2008 05:22 PM

I don't know who's dumber him or his parents?

NoseClams 08-20-2008 11:53 PM

if his parents beat him with the guitars then he probably would like them so much.

I personally think that Guitar Hero and Rock band are a disgrace. All they do is waste the lives of so many kids, and some like Blake QUIT SCHOOL just to play them. Another negative thing they do is just prevent kids from learning to play the real guitars, drums etc. whatever.

Im making a wild guess that in about 50 - 60 years, kids will be getting more money out of a plastic guitar then other people who are really talented at the real instrument and deserve some attention, which is just a damned crying shame.:nono:

Actually, all the guitar hero does is just hinder from playing the real guitar.

Guitar hero is a disgrace and should be banned IMO.

No it doesn't.

All it does is take people who want to be the next Yngwie Malmsteen and make sure they're kept far away as possible from real guitars.

It's doing us a service in the same way natural selection does.

FaSho 08-24-2008 02:30 PM

the media is blowing this story way out of proportion he's still being homeschooled and some people amke a lot of money playing video games

prettyravegirl 08-24-2008 03:00 PM

.....Holy COW! thats really sad.

I wish I'd said that.

Rage Against the Machine 08-24-2008 08:23 PM

Wow.

I didn't think it was possible to reach the level of idiocy it'd take to be convinced in to letting your child do this.

I stopped playing when I realized I had a real guitar 2 feet away and pushing colorful buttons (although great hand muscle exercise) wasn't doing me any good.

If he is properly home schooled and engages in some sort of social interaction with other people his age, it's not really that big a deal. Chances are he will just become a hermit and decide one day to shoot up a bowling alley... but guess we will have to wait and see.

THESE PEOPLE ARE F**KING CASH-IN GENIUSES!!!!!

they actually got a Guitar Hero AEROSMITH to sell? that's incredible!! that means they can cash in on literally every single classic rock band! Guitar Hero ALICE IN CHAINS edition! Guitar Hero KISS edition! Guitar Hero LED ZEPPELIN edition! EVERY! SINGLE! ONE!!!!

Christian-rock?!?! how about a Marilyn Manson Guitar Hero to balance it out? perfect! then we can invent Muslim Terrorist Guitar Hero! GROUNDBREAKING!!!!

and they'll make MONEY off of ALL of it! they can continue their roman numeral saga with 3 coming out every year, while at the same time releasing a Guitar Hero for every band, every era, every GENRE!!! and charge every single one for 50 bucks!!!

that's it, i absolutely hate this world now. if a company can make billions with something as simple as this sh*t, then seriously i have no reason anymore for "originality" or "effort". i give up.
