I'm not entirely sure what your point is though.

Fact: That pic was taken in Norwich!

Johnny Marr was on "Cribs" when? and I'm surprised he was on...w/all the useless dolts they have on there, I'm surprised they actually put a good guy like Marr on.

He lives in Norwich, as in Connecticut?

Oh no no no, he played on stage with The Cribs, a band who i think are very very terrible.

And Norwich in England.

Does this have anything whatsoever to do with the topic?

I used to shop for band shirts at Hot Topic, but ever since I saw a Justin Bieber shirt I stay at least 20 feet from the store.

It was a joke. There was a Zeppelin section on sale, I was going to go the next day to get look around. So I went back, and there was a Justin Bieber section replacing them. Damn this pop culture...

Morrissey could actually use a few of those.

I thought emo=feel sorry for yourself.
Isn't scene=rebelling from emo by wearing bright colors, listening to pop artists that also wear bright colors, and being on the internet a lot?

It makes me sad that I know these things.

Bahaha! I don't know if your definition are correct, but those definitions are the ones that I will use ... Forever.

but only cool people like The Smiths, and only people who are trying too hard shop at hot-topic and if those streams cross then no one will know what's really cool anymore. AAAIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! :bonkhead:

Band tshirts suck anyway 'Look at me, I like x band, I must be really cool yeah?'.

NSW 03-18-2010 08:08 PM

Or it could just be that a person likes a band and wants to show support for them, not caring if it's cool or not. But what do I know...

stormjh 03-18-2010 08:10 PM

Yeah, admittedly it's often that as well, but a lot of the time it's no different to other 'fashion' and is just insecure teenagers wanting to fit in with their friends.

EDIT: And I use the word 'fashion' quite loosely there.

It could just be that is what defines the person. Such as, a skater rocking a DC shirt. Some people like to represent what they know.

Buying a bands t-shirt is one of the best ways of supporting a band financially. I'm not sure what bands get when the shirt is bought at retail stores, but I always make sure to pick me up a shirt after a concert. My little way of saying "Sorry I downloaded you music, but to compensate for the 10 cents you would've lost I bought a ticket and a t-shirt."

That's why I like shirts with nothing on them.

lol... clever...
But I'm pretty much the same way. I buy based on fit, color & price, but if there's something on it, I just make sure it isn't A) ridiculous, and/or B) any pastel color.
I couldn't give less of a fuck about representing what I know. I know what I know. I don't need random strangers to know it too.
