This puzzles me

Ok, when you're watching a film, why is it that when a guy kisses a girl, she bends her knee to raise one leg? What in the hell is that about?

No girl I've ever kissed has done this. What's going on? Is it some sort of Hollywood thing that they have?

jibber 11-21-2004 04:16 PM

ya, I really have no clue, I don't get that either, probably some hollywood thing that never happens in real life. another thing i noticed, in club scenes in movies, they're always standing like a foot apart, talking in normal voices, and they can always hear eachother perfectly fine. I have no idea where they got this cause in real life, you have to put your mouth right next to the other persons ear, and shout.

franscar 11-21-2004 04:22 PM

I'd never thought of that one actually.

"Hi, do you want a drink?"
"What?"
"Do you want a drink?"
"WHAT?"
"DO YOU WANT A DRINK?"

jibber 11-21-2004 04:31 PM

exactly, I guess that wouldn't exactly make for a very dramatic scene in a movie, but it would be a hell of a lot more realistic. and a fact true for all movies, you'll never see a person that isnt really good looking in a bar or club, and lets face it, that's just not true in real life.

rise_above 11-22-2004 03:30 PM

i dunno. i guess its sexy or something :pimp:

Thrice 11-22-2004 03:36 PM

Yeah, Im with you there, Ive kissed girls that have done it before(only because they saw it in the movies i guess) and it was pretty sexy...

jibber 11-22-2004 06:23 PM

interesting....can't say I've ever done the knee bend thing. and in TV shows, I just noticed, every girl in TV shows, or movies, goes to sleep wearing a full face of makeup. I'd never do that, well actually I have done that, but that's just crashing at someone else's place after a party, so that's kind of a different circumstance.

You know what's also very anoying...?When films always end happily, like people will die but it's always the ones nobody really liked anyway and the main character almost always survives!!!It's ***

Argh, I hate that. Going to bed with a girl and waking up to find that either I'm covered in foundation or she's smudged it all over my pillows. No need.

If you're going to fall asleep at a party then fair enough, can't really complain, but come on, make up and sheets don't mix.

i am so sick of happy endings. i think all films should have a twist, and it doesnt have to make sense.

ya. has anyone seen the village? that had the wierdest twist ever. u can kinda tell in the movie though

Oi_To_The_World 11-26-2004 01:52 PM

that ending i thought was very predictable

rise_above 11-26-2004 03:55 PM

just alittle. it was wierd though

jibber 11-27-2004 08:55 PM

ya I thought the village sucked. it had a lot of suspense built up in the beginning, then we found out that it was all a sham, and the entire movie from that point was pointless.

Thrice 11-28-2004 12:04 AM

yeah, that was kinda ***, but those things scared the hell outta me...almost as much as the fat german chick i was there with aahhh she was hideous!

jibber 11-28-2004 03:58 PM

^ hahahaha, very nice, how'd you end up with the "fat german chick"?

franscar 11-28-2004 04:47 PM

Another thing, how come the girl I like at uni is NEVER free to go out?

she could just be genuinely very busy. I was dating this guy for a while a the beginning of the year, and for a month or so my schedule was insane, I basically had friday night to hang out with my friends, and that's the night when my best friend and I always hang out, cause we hardly see eachother during the week. I told him I wasn't going to ditch her on fridays, and he got mad when I said I wouldn't be able to see him for another week or so. after a few arguments I decided I just didnt have the time to put into a relationship. if she's got a schedule that is really really packed, she might just not have the time needed to invest in a relationship.

franscar 11-28-2004 05:53 PM

Yeah, she is just annoyingly busy, which really sucks. I want to take her out next Friday but she has a christmas party with her old school friends, and then I wanted to take her out the Thursday after to see Interpol but she's away for the weekend that weekend.

Grrrrrrrr.

I'm not after a relationship, not at the moment, I just like the girl and would like to get to know her better.

jibber 11-28-2004 05:55 PM

^ ya that is a pretty sucky situation. just sounds like a lot of cases with really bad timing, hopefully things will slow down soon and she'll have more free days.

franscar 11-28-2004 05:58 PM

Well yeah, it's possible I guess, just that I live at home and she lives on campus, and I'm busy a lot with soccer and she basically volunteers for anything, and i mean ANYTHING going on at uni, so at the moment it just seems never-ending. I've had her number for weeks now but not been able to take it any further. :(
