These have been my favourites as of late. Firstly, I've been really enjoying Brooklyn
http://clatl.com/binary/c517/brooklyn-eipa.jpg Brooklyn IPA. One of the better IPAs I've had in quite some time. Really been loving this. http://www.dudeletter.com/wp-content...klyn-BCS-1.jpg Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. 10% and, as you may be able to imagine, very heavy. It resembles a syrup when its poured. Definitely not one to stay on all night but it was rather nice. http://media1.break.com/breakstudios...mmer%20Ale.jpg Brooklyn Summer Ale. Crisper, lighter and great for a summer day. Had a day out recently in the sun and this one went down a treat. http://shanghaiist.com/attachments/s...adamschina.jpg Had my first Sam Adams the other day and really enjoyed that too. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for this from now on. http://img2.findthebest.com/sites/de...a_pale_ale.jpg Flying Dog Snake Dog. Along with the Brooklyn, this has been my favourite IPA in recent weeks. Originally a barman suggested it so I tried it and have had it a couple of times since. Very nice. And to think I used to think that Americans didn't produce much worth drinking. It turns out that we just didnt do a great job of stocking much of it over recent years. All of the above I have been impressed with. I've also been enjoying Blue Moon and recrently had a Sierra Nevada which was fine, it just didnt really stand out. And last but not least... http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg Kraken rum. Tastes far too smooth to be true, but in fact it is true. I've been going nuts over this stuff. |
^and it has a squid on it :)
so how much does and American micro import run you over there? |

Kristalweizen with delicious bubblegum, banana, clove, and cinnamon notes. It's my current session beer, loving it. |

The Flying Dog beers are all about £3.50 in the place I usually go to, which is by far my pub of choice and the best place around here for imports and a wide selection. In another place I go to I paid £5, so my place is more than acceptable. Supermarket prices really arent bad either. I think 4 bottles of Blue Moon would set me back about £4 to drink at home. Not too shabby. |

I bought it at Prague airport to get rid of the funny money I had in my wallet only judging it by the 38% vol! It's different to say the least. Like a more potent form of Thunderbirds (if anyone remembers that from days gone by) and: http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...2lHB90DO0lT57Q This may be weak by my usual standards (about 4.4 vol) but it is obviously brewed with precision and at around 80p a time was well worth bringing a few back with me. |

As for the Karbach double IPA...well, I imagine you're a bit more seasoned when it comes to stronger beers. That one knocked my socks off, but you'd probably love it. Unfortunately I just felt like the amount of alcohol in it counter acted any good flavor that was there. I am intrigued by this beauty you posted though, especially since Fred said it's a good summer beer. Always on the look out for a nice summer beer. |
