For men, low is 6 and under, acceptable is 7-8, preferred is 9 and up.

No it's not.

5% is standard and not 'low' at all.

Yes, it is quite low. I'm talking beers in general btw, not specifically lagers.

The Batlord 09-19-2017 12:53 PM

5% beers are only for a day of disc golf. Otherwise I scoff at that ****.

In general for beers it is somewhat low.

For a lager it's just normal and the sort of thing you drink on a night out when you know you're having pint after pint.

You're not drinking 8 pints of 12% coffee scented chocolate 'craft' ale in one session. Those are drinks you have one or two of imo.

If I'm having pint after pint then I'll drink generic lager just cause I'll probably be at a ****ty bar that just has the usual suspects, but it just feels like a waste of drinking to drink 5% if I don't have to.

I've been known to take out a pack of Waldos in six hours. Don't underestimate my need to forget the accident.

We've got some real beer monsters on here

The Batlord 09-19-2017 01:28 PM

I've got to concentrate on drinking to stay drunk on 5% lagers. Otherwise I'll just end up feeling highly tipsy at best. Which works at a bar since you're either talking or drinking.
