Cut into smaller pieces when you boil and yeah what MC said. Make sure you get as much water out once done.

I've seen it done in the oven, you just do baked potatoes and scoop the inside out, I'll post the video if you want it.

@Frownland I would actually like to know how your potatoes got on.

I cooked for my dad a month or so ago, did that exact mashed potato recipe and my chicken recipe, my dad is stubborn when it comes to cooking and just sticks the bird in the oven with no other ingredients, anyway roasted the chicken for Sunday dinner (garlic, mixed herbs, butter, lemon juice all under the skin, then loads of butter on top and some herbs), did the gravy by using the juices from the chicken, put that shit in a pot, Bisto granules and chopped onions and left that shit until the onions were very soft. When they are soft, add Worcestershire sauce.

Mash - Bake 6 or 7 potatoes, when they're really, really done, chop in half & scoop out the flesh with a spoon, add black pepper and a little butter, no need to puree it cos the texture is better this way, just mix a little with a fork. Baking them gives them a different flavour.

He approved.

They came out great, fork was a pain in the ass though since I was making a lot.
