IamAlejo 12-17-2004 11:43 AM

"and keep in mind, he might be prez arnold knowing our stupid voters...."

Our stupid voters? So you are calling the American population stupid, yet you are a part of it. Okay, just checking.

Oi_To_The_World 12-17-2004 01:19 PM

^ yes i am calling the american population stupid. and if you wanna be technical, by asking, "do you mean EVERYBODY including yourself"- sorry, but i am not going to dignify that with a witty response, because you clearly are just asking for the sake of argument and the answer is obviously no. anywho, if you wanna vote arnold 2008 go ahead. im sure you and your assumed-conservative colleagues have no problem with that, after all your current figurehead is an ex-cokehead. but yeah, thanks for checking. any time buddy

also did you even read the article, or did you just wanna get into a political crossfire, cause that is not what i intended at all. PLEASE READ THE ARTICLE, that is all i have to say.

"and keep in mind, he might be prez arnold knowing our stupid voters...."

actually he couldn't. To run for president, the candidate has to have been born in the United States.

Oi_To_The_World 12-18-2004 05:22 PM

^ well they have ads running in the US to make a constitutional amendent to change that so arnold can run. eventually the amendent will pass cause there's lots of support from both sides, but it might not be before 2008.

jibber 12-18-2004 05:26 PM

^interesting, I wasn't aware of that.

1. It's not gonna pass, it's been this way forever, if it passes it won't pass until another 20 years.
2. I disagree with Arnold's past.
3. I wouldn't support him for Governor.
4. I read the article, but I personally don't go to rotten.com when looking for quality news articles.
5. Are you still upset about the election and complaining about how Bush rigged the whole thing? My guess is yes.

Oi_To_The_World 12-19-2004 01:17 PM

1. it probably will pass, because there is alot of support from both sides
2. what do you disagree with? his past decisions? or are you saying the article is lying, because it isnt. this stuff was revealed during the california elections.
3. i dont support him for governor or even the terminator
4. i never said rotten was a good source for information and news, unless you're a sick demented freak. i learned of the article through a friend, not as a regular visitor of rotten.
5. i never said i was upset about the election, nor did i complain about the results of the election. Dont get my userprofile mixed up with partisan politics. I dont affiliate with any political party, so your guess is wrong. i take all politicans (white, black, republican, democrat) with a grain of salt. this past election, i despised the incumbent just as much as the challenger.

Yellow Card 12-19-2004 05:56 PM

WHOA!!!!!! you dont support him as the terminator?!?!?!?!?!!? are you stupid!?!!?!?!?? there is no other person in the world of acting who could of pulled of the terminator as good as Arnie. He was perfect for the postition, i wish he would stick to acting though.

1. It will not pass any time soon. The only reason it is even being brought up is because of Arnold. Use your history. The first black Governor was elected less than 20 years ago. It took what, over 130 years since the Amendment was made declaring slavery illegal to make a black man Governor. It will not pass, think of when the last amendment was made to our Constition. It's not a "Bill" as you say, it would need to be an amendment. 2/3 of Congress? Not gonna happen anytime soon. 2/3 of states? Not gonna happen anytime soon. You are wrong on this one.
2. I disagree with his lifestyle in the past. Things being revealed during an election are normally twisted to make a certain candidate look bad. But I'm not denying the article, would not surprise me.
3. I thought he was a joke at the time of the election, but since being elected he has not done as bad as I expected.

^ but dont you think with a GOP controlled white house, the best time for approval is between the next few years? i dont think too many republicans will deny the amendent, because they all know arnold makes a great figurehead for their party. and many democrats are in favor of the amendent on principle alone. we'll have to wait and see i guess, but i still stand by my prediction that it will eventually pass
as a side question, are you personally against the amendment? i am maybe in theory, but as a human being i think it is okay. besides, dont you think america will elect a foreign-born-now-citizen first before a woman or an african american? (not intended to be a bigot question, just speculation)

IamAlejo 12-19-2004 10:06 PM

Personally I think wanting to get the minority vote would be more of a factor of one wanting to pass the amendment then the fact that Arnold is in favor of it being passed. While Arnold was an imoportant figurehead in this last election, don't put him on the 2008 ballot. One thing you need to remember is that the GOP is historically the Southeast. The Southeast is just now coming out of the effects of Reconstruction, and race can still be a touchy matter in lots of places in the Southeast. And that isn't just a black-white issue. The fact remains it is near impossible to pass an Amendment.

Hmm, personally I won't take a stand on the issue. I don't see anything wrong with having a foreign born President, but those who wrote the Constitution did, and I'm sure they knew more about running this country than I did. I think it takes a lot of time to learn about the US, and knowing the American's mindset is one of the keys you need to be a leader, and I think it's hard for a foreign born to know Americans' mindset. PERSONALLY, I think a Black Male Democrat will be elected President before a female or foreign born.

i guess i am for the ammendment a little bit, but not for arnold being prez. the way he is doesn't fit it at all. he's just a greedy little prick who thinks he can have anything he wants. he'd just **** up our society even more than it already is. if you've seen documentarys about him you'd see what i mean
