Fun stuff

So yeah back in the woods we are making a fort. It's not just the regular old lean sticks on each other fort. We are chopping down trees that are like 2 or 3 feet around and making a log cabin. Its going to be 8 or 9 feet tall. We have furniture for it and a small army to help build it. In the back of it the is going to be a porch which is already made up. It is made up of about 8 or 9 big logs that are about 10 to 12 feet long and 3 to 4 feet wide and weigh about 250 pounds each. We skinned the bark off of them and nailed the bark between the gaps. So now it just about smooth enough to ride a skateboard on. After we finish the cabin we are going to move on to this big old oak tree that is probably 150 feet tall and 6 to 7 feet around, and get up about 25 feet and nail some 2 by 4's and build a little deck up there. After that we will move up about 10 - 15 feet and build a tree house. And the awesome thing also is we made a old time out house.

The size of the cabin should be about 500 square feet, 8 - 9 feet tall. The deck should go all the way around the tree and stick out about 5 or 6 feet from the side of the tree. The tree house should be I don't know, maybe 50 square feet? We have'nt really calculated the measures yet.

The tools we are using to complete this task are in the bottom list.

2 axes (1 double bladed wood handled and 1 single bladed carbon fiber handled.)

2 machetes

4 hammers

about 5000 nails

Thats all we are working with right now but we are trying to get ahold of a chainsaw or 2. My sister's boyfriend lives on a farm so i'm going to see if I can saddle a horse up and have it pull the logs because they are heavy as hell. Or I could go put a new fuel line on my friends four wheeler and use that.

EDIT: I had a brain fluster

Of course there's always the legitimacy of this, however for sake of argument so I can get my point across I choose to believe that you're actually going to attempt this daft idea.

1) You have no permit to take those trees you plan on cutting down, eventually somebody will notice and call the police on you. Now depending on if it's state or federal ground it's either a misdemeanor or felony. If it's the latter you get to deal with U.S. Wildlife Service that put a pretty hefty fine on people illegally cutting down trees.

2) I'm assuming of course, that you have no experience actually building or at least building from complete scrap.

3) You do not have the right tools to take down trees or the experience in which to properly and safely do it, you'll either destroy the surrounding trees or kill yourself or one of your friends.

4) If you really want to build something over the summer that's fine, but do it properly, go to a lumberyard, buy some 2x4's and 1/2" plywood and make yourself a little fort.

2 axes + 2 machetes + 4 hammers + 5000 nails = bad idea.

Go find a bridge to hang out under instead.

I don't know; maybe Ferdinand stopped smelling flowers and started discharging them instead.

Cory has clearly grown up since his recent banning.
No longer is he wearing pull-up diapers and sporting a Kool-aid mustache...
Now he's building forts.

You guys should be nice...
He could tell his mom on you.

^ No im not going to tell my mom. LOL.

And also we do have a permit to those trees. We own the land. All of those trees are ours.
