But nobody outside of your country cares about Basketball. Britain has a population of about 60m, the World Cup final had more viewers than the Olympics and Super Bowl by a distance:

I think the final got close to a billion viewers. Football is the world's sport..

AND YOU CAN HAVE IT

You're really baiting here. I'm out.

if 99$ of the best players play in the same league its not unreasonable to call them world champs. if your soccer league dont want to, i dont really care lol, thats their choice

lol tons of countries care about basketball. spain and argentina in mroe recent years for instance. and even if nobody did, arent you kinda helping my sid eof the argument?? if nobody else cares, wouldnt it be more reasonable to call us world champs?? i think so

Lol boys arguing about sports. I'd like to see American football guys try getting past Kiwi rugby players without padding. Or female players for that matter, those ladies come in bulk.

Cuthbert 09-28-2013 12:07 AM

Well said Vanilla. New Zealand rugby players

This is just like saying take Kiwi rugby players and toss them into some pads and force them to play American football that they don't know so well against American football players and what the lulz happens.

They would get demolished.

Every 30 seconds.

lol at Baseball too.

Named the World Series

Only American teams can compete in it.

5* lads. 5*.

Baseball is awesome.

Most of the players in the league aren't even American. There's even a few Japanese ones, I think. Baseball is hug over there.

butthead aka 216 09-28-2013 05:27 AM

'american' sports have grown rapidly.

football will likely never catch on elsewhere. there's a canadian league and the nfl has started playin games in london, but i dont think they are increasin the fan base all that much.

baseball however in the last 20 years has been absolutely booming in hispanic countries and has been big in japan as well. japan is like a step down from pro baseball here though, but it still seems to be pretty big. everytime a japanese player comes to the usa there seems to be a lot of fanfare and media attention so it mus tbe a big deal. sidenote - ichiro was absolutely incredible and yu darvish is a beast

basketball has really been growing in europe. places like spain and argentina have a big basketball prescense and every yr the nba draft is half filled with euro players. euro players are soft and usually dont do well, but i hope the game can change over time to allow for more successful euros and foreign players. theres some great young guys in the league right now
