see that's where it gets kind of tricky because it's beyond wrong to trivialize abuse but sometimes there's no solid evidence. sometimes.
nobody would have ever guessed that my ex threw me against walls sometimes, left bruises on me, screamed at me until I cried and curled up into a corner against the wall, but he did.
the repercussions of coming clean about it would have been endless but you know, situations differ and whatnot...
the people who lived upstairs from us knew very well what was happening and didn't say a word.
surely if I could hear one of the girls sneezing upstairs, she could hear my ex shouting at me and throwing things at me.
but no.
nobody ever says anything.
