There are a lot of other doseone side projects that probably align more with the kind of stuff JWB is into than the boom bip collab. Themselves' Crownsdown or thefreehoudini mixtape for example.

lol yea you would say some **** like that

but public enemy is actually a decent representation of hip hop from their era and scene

and maybe your song is too... but the scene is so far on the fringes that to a rap fan like me it sounds more like experimental/avante garde/goofy as ****/frownland music with hip hop trimmings than actual hip hop.

nah i did start to listen to it but i was a bit underwhelmed tbh

give me some standout tracks instead of a whole album

edit - also i really don't see what you guys mean about tical. it's alright to me... not on par with the other wu classics though. something about meth by himself just always feels empty to me. honestly i think his album with redman was the best thing he ever put out.

don't really care for this either if im being honest.. i mean its not actually bad to me... it's got a decent beat and the rapper has decent charisma... just doesn't really speak to me i guess

but in all seriousness i'm not actually saying its not hip hop

just not the kind i want to listen to

Well ja it's experimental and it doesn't sound like Public Enemy, but it's still hip hop the same way that Sunn O))) is still metal despite not sounding anything like Judas Priest. I still wish there was more stuff similar to my track than there currently is, whatever the hell we want to call it.

I love Anticon, there's just never enough . Their best stuff is all Doseone related too, so that doesn't help much.

yea that's fine, i need to ease up. just been a bit stressed lately i guess. i hope for your sake there's a million more tracks like that one as well, since i'll never be burdened with having to listen to them, since they're clearly unmarketable.

i guess i jumped on you though cause you were like "this is what hip hop should be"

and if you showed that to 999% of rap listeners, they will be like the **** is this?
