Omg so my gf and I met several months after we both ended long term relationships (7 years for us both, funnily enough), but in an awkward stage where we were still sharing space (and beds, at some point) with our respective exes. This complicated things somewhat, her ex was very hostile and petty toward me at the beginning, but with distance and time that has all settled down and they maintain a friendship and there is no longer any beef aimed in my direction. We’ll call her ex Gemini.
Before my gf ended her relationship, a catalyst for her examining it was a new friend she made at work who helped her realize how unhappy she was, and how toxic the relationship had gotten. We’ll call this friend Libra. Their friendship consisted mainly of having lunch together and talking **** about G. My gf describes how it gradually built up her confidence until she was able to end the relationship. Throughout this time Gemini knew about Libra, but Libra refused to give Gemini the time of day, for Gemini is the villain here, right? Gemini expressed interest in meeting Libra, and Libra refused. Libra also refused to meet me (I did not express interest) lol, but she would refer to me and wanted to “get to know me” through my gf.
Cut to Spring - My gf moved in with me in April after moving across the country didn’t pan out. She and Libra continued their friendship, but my gf began complaining about how Libra is really demanding of my gf’s time and attention, and would often be really cold and distant if she didn’t get it. They mostly exchanged emails, bull****ting about all kind of topics.
At some point, my gf started a new job, and during her first week did not make continuing the email thread a priority. After TWO DAYS of not responding to Libra’s last email, Libra sent another email about how my gf has always taken advantage of her, how my gf just uses her when she needs something, that my gf doesn’t really care about her, etc. my gf responded with an “I’m not your ****ing boyfriend” and that’s the last time they communicated.
Now, all these months later, we begin noticing weird things like how she changed the name of a playlist she made on Spotify to something very pointed toward my gf. She would duplicate my playlists and name them ****ty things referring to my gf being a piece of **** or about how I’m so fat and ugly lol. She does the thing where she uses the names of the songs to send a message, which is the most r worded **** I’ve ever seen. “I Really Loved You,” “You Never Really Loved Me,” “R U Happy With Her,” “I Miss You” etc. I made all my **** private so she couldn’t creep on me anymore, and apparently you can’t block people on Spotify. My gf pulled all of her playlists as well and is super creeped out. She said she’ll get a sense of something being off and she just knows it’s something to do with Libra, and sure enough she keeps being right.
This morning my gf was on the phone with her ex and found out that Libra called Gemini over the weekend, and they were on the phone for hours. Libra told Gemini every ****ty thing my gf ever said or complained about, and now Libra and Gemini are friendly and are both anti-my gf and now anti-me. Lol.
