I will miss Billy Mays. I actually loved his commercials, they made me laugh. In fact, I love infomercials in general, I don't know why. They all have a child-like innocence, where everything works, no matter how silly it is. They immerse you in a magical, happy world where somebody can whip out an orange towel that absorbs like 5 gallons of water and you can get like 200 of them for the low low price of $19.95.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

I know what you mean man. In real life the promoter of that magical orange towel probably bites hooker's tongues off. The real world is a f*cked up place bro.

This is really sad for me... I've watched him on TV since I was young. Really going to miss his commercials and 'Pitchmen'. I hope his grave says "Hi, Billy Mayes here!".. seems disrespectful but I think it's a perfect tribute to him.

Exactly! Its just like all those children's shows. Behind all of that child-like innocence, the actors are often the largest of douches who like you said, bite hookers tounges off, or sexually abuse children. Its a scary world out there with all of home products that break all of the time and just don't work. Sometimes its nice to escape from reality for just a little while.
