Apparently Ligers are real animals

Anyone who's seen napoleon dynamite might be amused by this. apparently there are such things as ligers, and also "tigons"

rise_above 01-16-2005 11:37 PM

i know. i was trying to tell my friends that and they laughed at me and called me names :( they're huge. i saw it on the discovery channel during the humanzee documentary.

.angie. 01-16-2005 11:39 PM

hmm. thats crazy.

axman6 01-17-2005 02:23 AM

yeah we've got a couple of ligers and tigons at our zoo in canberra. i cant remember which is which but one has a male lion as the farther and a female tiger as the mother and the other has a male tiger as the farther and a female lion as the mother. they're kinda kool but they cant reproduce at all.

jesus 01-17-2005 08:19 AM

you didn't know that
I read it in a book when I was like 8.

rise_above 01-17-2005 08:34 AM

they're like the mules of the jungle

MUSE girl 01-17-2005 11:09 AM

wow thats totally weird!!!!
my lil bro once got confused when he was little and drawed (<- very bad english there, sorry!) a lion with strips and i laughed at him, but he was right, ooops

.angie. 01-17-2005 12:51 PM

i agree, that is totally weird, but my question is why would they make odd animals like that?

jesus 01-17-2005 01:00 PM

because instead of wasting their spare time on the internet they decided use it breeding tigers and lions?

jesus 01-17-2005 01:02 PM

maybe next it will be bears, oh my!

god that was corny...

.angie. 01-17-2005 02:01 PM

To create an army and take over the world.

Thursday 01-17-2005 03:14 PM

Apparently cats are going to take over the world once they've adapted to having thumbs. Dolphins were supposed to have a pretty good chance too, but they'd have to evolve quite a bit really to be able to walk and breathe on land.

.angie. 01-17-2005 03:40 PM

aw crap, ligers are going to take over the world.. along with dolphins
its lame, i showed one of my friends the pictures of the liger and they dont believe me, apparently the stripes are painted on, even though it would be physically impossible for the stripes to look so real if they were painted on.

blackTshirt 01-17-2005 11:48 PM

axman6 01-23-2005 01:06 AM

yes it would be polite to feel guilty

blackTshirt 02-19-2005 08:07 AM

well i'm not really what you call polite, so...
but i do feel a bit guilty...

Sneer 02-19-2005 08:08 AM

politeness makes the world a better place....i'll shut up then.

blackTshirt 02-19-2005 08:13 AM

no, the correct thingy would be "curiosity makes the world a worse place" so just say what you wanna say ;)

Yellow Card 02-20-2005 12:32 AM

curiosity killed the cat though

jesus 02-20-2005 12:37 AM

Which is exactly why it makes the world a worse place

Yellow Card 02-20-2005 12:42 AM

but i dont like cats

blackTshirt 02-20-2005 02:05 AM

ok, i think this is the perfect time for me to say i'm not so curios as i appear to be...:D
