50 pairs. I took a hearing test and my hearing age is 45 so I'm going to start wearing these at shows and band practice, probably when I play drums or sax too.

I've bought a couple things in the last couple months:

Nintendo 64: It came with all the cords and everything. I found it at work and it works perfectly. Now I gotta get some games.

Samsung Blu-Ray Player: I've never had a blu-ray player, but I knew that they had teh wi-fi function on some of them, so I picked it up and now I have Netflix in the bedroom with the flat screen. Super nice.

Two 27in flatscreen monitors: I'd been using a flatscreen TV for my monitor for a while, and I wanted to get a Netflix/DVD tv setup in the bedroom so I went ahead and switched to two LG monitors for my computer and now I have the TV setup with what I wanted. Definitely a good purchase and very happy with it.

The next thing I want to get is this:

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...L._SL1500_.jpg

Or something similar. I'm good for now, but it'd be nice to have my monitors a little more back towards the wall and not shaking around much when something happens at my desk. Plus, it'd look cool and clean.

Been wanting one for a while. I have games on my computer that just work better with a controller, and I've used Logitech equipment for as long as I can remember. Very happy with this purchase.

Sequo that is the most bad ass nerf gun I've ever seen. They have come a long way since I was a kid.

Edifer M3200 speakers.

For the price ($60), they completely blow the competition out of the water, specifically the Bose C2 speakers. Not only do they come with a sub woofer, but you also get this really nice master volume knob that has some real weight to it and feels completely solid. If you're in the market for some budget speakers that don't sound like budget speakers, I would highly recommend these.

Samsung 24" LED monitor

I missed out on a $99 Dell 24" monitor on Black Friday but Office Depot is doing a deal right now, so it all worked out in the end. Definitely needed to play around with the settings out of the box, but I think it looks pretty damn good. The only weird thing about is it doesn't have DVI port, just VGA and HDMI.

Just, it's absolutely perfect. It's a brutal little thing, it can growl like a throat singer, and whistle like a pied piper.

****ing awesome, super jealous. They've got one of those (or something similar) at the local Guitar Center and they always have to kick me off of it when I get too into it because I start scaring the customers.

They're really, really cheap for an analogue synth. I got mine used for a little over 400. They sound really beastly going through effects pedals, and they have so many settings, and are really, really noisy when you want them to be. Only problem is that it's monophonic, because I liked to play really ****ed chords and hear ping ponging dissonance.

DeadChannel 12-13-2014 07:00 PM

I went took a bus into Nelson today for christmas gifts.

Things I bought for other people:
A Storm Of Swords

Awesome Mix Tape (I didn't like the movie, but it's a compilation of songs that the recipient will appreciate)

Helplessness Blues by Fleet Foxes

Things I bought for myself:
Infinite Jest- David Foster Wallace (I'm a fan of maximalism and postmodernism like Pynchon, so I'll give it a read after Gravity's Rainbow)

6 chocolate cookies from a quebec style bakery

Speaking of shoes...

Work's been killer on my feet lately. I think I need tougher shoes than chuck taylors so I picked these vegan friendly doc martens up. Although now I found out they come in cherry red too and I might send these black ones back... idk.

I wear a pair of Chinook steel toe boots for work, and they are very comfortable. I've had them for about a year and a half, and although they've been damaged a little bit (I'm a truck unloader, it happens) they have still kept my feet relatively safe and my feet don't hurt at all when I come home after working all day.

GuD 12-15-2014 11:39 PM

^that's more or less what I'm going for. Just a good, tough, slip-resistant boot. I'm worried that the ones I got won't last as they might not be the designed-for-work model but it's the only veg-friendly one they offer.

Crocs are uniformly hideous and should be set on fire upon sight.

My doc martens lasted not even 6 months before the sole wore down to nothing, and I was constantly getting water in my socks.

I went into the store to get a new phone since I was due for a free upgrade. I was intending to get an iPhone 5 but the workers pulled their little 'for a dollar more' quip and I went with it and ended up with an iPhone 6. It's cool beans so far. I'm sure I'll grow accustomed to it and hate certain things about it in no time because I'm a rich white boy.

My dads birthday is coming up. We saw Judas Priest a few months ago, and absolutely loved it. I was looking for Judas Priest related things that would be cool to get him as a gift, and I found this:

Going to add rockbox when I get these guys, and reformat the micro sd card when I get it. So yeah, it pretty much supports all file types, 136gb, and all in this tiny as fuck thing for 1/2 that of an apple product.

Pretty much the shittiest delay pedal you can buy without getting a Fab. That being said, before these things catch on fire they're pretty great imo.

Bought this for my significant other as an anniversary gift. Her favorite movie.
