Nevermind. Well, I guess I'll do something with this thread since I created it and can't delete it. How many music finds do you owe to musicbanter? I owe literally somewhere in the high, high hundreds. Give it a few months and it'll be thousands. Seriously my "to get" list is ridiculous.

Have you heard his son Viuex Farka Toure yet? He's amazing on the guitar.

But I definately owe a few finds to MB.

I would honestly start more threads on artists that don't already have dedicated ones if people ever actually checked them out.

I've heard he's really good, but I still haven't listened to Ali Farka Touré enough for now to continue to others.

And about the new threads, it's usually because these new threads are usually like "What do you think of ....", instead of giving some kind of review and few suggestions or some youtube embedded videos.

Good point. I'll keep that mind.

But honestly when I'm looking for something new to listen to all I want is a sample. I usually just briefly skim full reviews b/c everyones opinion on music is so different no matter how much they love or hate it my reaction might be the opposite.

Oh I dunno, I have many sources so it would be hard to pinpoint exactly how many came from here without going through all my acquisitions since I joined, and remembering. I'd guess half a dozen, maybe 10? There is more on my wishlist that I haven't gotten around to checking out, of course, but for what I've followed through with, I'd say that's about right.

this place has had me download most of my library, I joined when I got a new computer and I had like 100 songs or less. I owe mostly Justice to this place. I fuckin' love they two.

I'm not going to count out the individual albums, but I owe Def Jux and Anticon completely to MB and that's fifteen of my best albums right there.
