![]() English is a rather colourful language but it does have it's faults with multiple meanings for single words but it's etymology is a history lesson in itself so we do have an excuse for it's absurd complexity, however I would like to bring the language down to it's base level because I'm common and like to swear a lot. So what are your favourite slang and/or insulting words and why? This is also an education for those not familiar with the myriad of words that one uses in order to ridicule someone else (or some such bollocks) but I would also like to remind people that some words are actually kind of endearing and used appropriately will ingratiate you into many social circles of note (maybe). Here is one to get started: Twat : My personal favourite swear word even though it doesn't actually carry an age rating in films or music lyrics but it still carries immense weight in a one on one conversation. "My manager is a twat" is a polite way of saying he/she is a complete idiot but it also carries an underlying vehemence with it. It is a switch for c*nt to be fair. Top hat is a much more jocular way of meaning the same word.
