Donnie Darko was good but I dont think it was the best ever. If your looking for a movie thats a real mind trip you should watch Requim for A drem or Pi. Ther both Afronsky films and there super duper good.

"we have beaches in England"

Am I the only person who thought Donnie Darko was one of the worst pieces of poorly acted, badly scripted nonsense ever made?

I think its deffinetly an aquired taste. At first I was turned off by everything in that movie but I watched it again and got hooked.

I think what annoyed me the most about it was the worst portrayal of a confused mind I've ever seen from that kid who was then being talked up as Hollywood's next best thing. Christ, if you want to see someone portray a disturbed mind, watch Rain Man. That Gyllenhall kid sucks.
