Up here where I currently am in the arctic, communication is often in english, but it's most often not the first language of those who speak it. Here, it's not uncommon to fuck yourself in the mouth with a cup of coffee in the morning. Nor is it uncommon to rape a cheese if you want some sprinkled on the pizza you're making.

This is of course not the correct use of those words, but I like it just the same.

Yeah I get that every day at work. I know I really shouldn't laugh at my students but sometimes I can't help it. I had one guy tell me that if he won the lottery he would buy a boat and circumcise the world.

I burst out laughing, told him where he'd made a mistake, and then gave him a lot of props for trying to use circumnavigate.

I also got "please execute me for being late," "I'm having a cat today," "I came in school this morning," "I must go home and eat my dog."

Also had a very interesting conversation with a student about Rihanna,
Student: I think Rihanna is the most beautiful singer. Her skin is very nice because she is a cross-breed.
Me: Ok, DON'T use the word "breed" to describe a person. It's VERY offensive, very rude. We only use that word for animals.
Student: Ohh, I'm sorry. She's a half-breed.

Ha! exactly. I read a grammar book once that said living languages are hard to peg down and the example they used was priceless. It was something like...

"Groucho Marx once said that 'Love flies out the door, when money comes inuendo.' Its difficult to express that in Esperanto."

I'm not really a grammar nazi but there is one thing that does get on my nerves, people who spell 'rediculous'.

Haha! I'm totally bookmarking that.

I really don't understand why so many people spell it with the "A-T-E". It's not like that's how it sounds.
