For me the UK one is much the better show, but they are so unlike one another they can exist on their own I think. The US Office is a rare success of a remake in my opinion, but only cause they did their own thing with it and did it well.

For me the US Office is a very good show, and The Office is a masterpiece.

Yay. It's got better actors, and it's only by a slight margin anyway.

Definitely agree that they're very different animals. I'd say their on the same level pretty much, but I slightly prefer the US version. Probably because I saw it first.

I disagree. Give me Martin Freeman over John Krasinski any day of the week.

Why can't they just use the original version without trying to basterdize everything?

I wouldn't watch any of them if I was paid, and I desperately need money.
Here are other batserdized versions of Uk shows for you to enjoy
  • All in the Family
  • American Idol
  • Antiques Roadshow
  • Coupling
  • Family Feud
  • Football Wives
  • Life on Mars
  • Samford and Son
  • Skating with Celebrities
  • The Ropers
  • Trading Spaces
  • The Office
  • The Inbetweeners
  • Top Gear
  • The X Factor
  • Who Wants to Be a Millionaire

EDIT
Maybe Trollheart can make another journal called "The Basterdized Couch Potato,"

Girls on Facebook who post random selfies and get 50+ likes for each one, but when I actually take the time to perfect my pics, I only get 2 or 3 likes. WTF?

Cutting your hair is necessary (not silly, and doesn't have to be expensive) when you work with generational poverty kids who are riddled with head lice and scabies. Treating head lice is 1000 times easier with shorter hair! Hygiene ftw

Head lice aside the time it takes to take care of long hair makes having short hair and getting it cut every so often seem more feasible - time and money-wise.
