You know, the reason I made this thread was so I would STOP doing that.

So like, stop what you're doing plz.

Annie Lennox was pretty hot with her short hair back in the day. Not bald, of course, but in the general ballpark.

Ok there you go. Bald chicks AND music, we have reached a compromise.

I just stumbled across this thread and found what appeared to be a kindred spirit, so I popped in to say hello and ended up staying. I've got pretty wide-ranging taste in music, and a substantial collection of stuff mostly from the 70s-80s (pop, new wave, metal, prog, southern rock, blues rock, Canadian rock), but I wouldn't say my knowledge of music is that in-depth.
When it comes to obscure knowledge, I'm more of a b-grade movie buff, so I'm actually a fan of Persis Khambatta on multiple levels. :D

Oh, I doubt there is anyone who has a shallower knowledge of music than I do on this site, and it hasn't stopped me! :D I agree with you, it is nice to find kindred spirits. I'm happy for boo boo that you dropped by...so I can't help but hope you stay longer. Yeay, Star Trek! I had to look up the actress you mentioned, but as soon as I saw her bald pictures, I recognized her.

boo boo, while looking for bald people songs today, I found out about Skunk Anasie with the lead singer who is bald. You probably already know about her, of course (and maybe mentioned her in this thread, but I can't remember). I feel she has a great, strong voice...very emotional. I like the melody, too, and the song has lovely strings! Do you listen to much of their music...even if it isn't prog?

boo boo 07-26-2010 06:56 PM

I like a lot of non prog, I like this song but this isn't really my kind of music, however Skin is quite a good singer. I'm not into her on an attractiveness level, not because I don't like black chicks (I do) and I've seen black women who look beautiful bald but I dunno her face is too masculine and she's always making scary expressions lol. She does look nice in that vid though.

Janszoon 07-26-2010 07:34 PM

I'v always thought the singer from Skunk Anasie was pretty attractive. My issue is that I don't like the band.

That's about the case for me too. Skunk Anansie is not my kind of music, but Skin is quite attractive, and the scariness actually enhances it for me. Maybe I like mean-looking black women with little or no hair, because I always thought Grace Jones was hot too.

boo boo 07-26-2010 07:44 PM

Oh I'd probably still shag yeah. She's by no means ugly, but I really don't know how to classify her, she just weirds me out for some reason which has nothing to do with her baldness or ethnicity.

Alek Wek is a very beautiful bald black woman IMO.

OK she's not truly bald but whatever.

baldy1138 07-27-2010 03:14 AM

If we're combining bald chicks and music, I rather like the video of One By One, by the Dutch band C.U.T.

(If someone would be so kind as to post a YouTube link, I'd sure appreciate it, as I'm not yet up to the 15-post minimum.)

She's just about the polar opposite of Skin, complexion-wise, but blondes and black girls do have one thing in common - both can look especially good bald, because they have no telltale shadow.

boo boo 07-27-2010 03:54 AM

Even girls that do have a little "shadow" look great. Perfectly smooth is preferable to any stubble aesthetics wise (and smoothness beats scratchiness of course) but even when girls have a really close buzz they look great. But you're right, blondes and black girls can go without a few days of shaving and it's hard to spot the hair growth.

Alek Wek is really dark and even though she has some hair it blends with her complexion perfectly. And white/asian girls who buzz it and dye the remaining hair blonde can give a deceptively smooth look.

Still I don't get the point in not going all the way other than the extra maintenance required, it certainly looks better to go smooth.

The music isn't my thing but the girl and the shave makes this a great video.
