Something I was curious about: What programs do you use? You mentioned making an album in a library. Was it with some kind of online program?

Mondo Bungle 01-11-2016 04:02 PM

I can install programs onto the computers in the community college library computers in my town, otherwise I have an audacity file on my phone so I can use that too even if there's network restrictions.

Also, just gonna copy this from an email I sent

Yes, audacity is a huge component, I use it for editing as well some
composition here and there. These albums here are my most "avant
garde" if you will, and are based around manipulated field recordings
in audacity: https://troublesalad.bandcamp.com/album/delirium ,
https://troublesalad.bandcamp.com/al...ust-the-sequel ,
https://troublesalad.bandcamp.com/al...the-soundtrack . Some
Trouble Salad tracks are paulstretched original sounds. This album is
based almost entirely around chopped and screwed samples in audacity:
https://mathscience.bandcamp.com/album/psychedelicious

For those first six Trouble Salad releases and the new "Battle of
Worlds Has Ended", I used audiomulch to improvise the substance of the
album. It doesn't have too much so the sound was a tad limited, but
you can record live while messing around with the patches.
AudioMulch is software for live performance, audio processing, sound design and music composition.

That was only a free trial though and after it ended I searched for
any free programs to use. Been using linux multimedia studio ever
since and started actually composing material as the improv factor was
gone. It's free and pretty easy to grasp, as long as I have samples
and effects I can rock it. When I had my laptop I downloaded some free
VSTs to use, but the computer busted. These were my first albums made
with LMMS, and you could probably tell that I hadn't branched out very
far just yet: https://troublesalad.bandcamp.com/al...all-monsters-2
, https://wearethewasps.bandcamp.com/releases . Although "Beneath the
Red Sea" on the latter album is actually a recording I made with a
soda cup filled with various volumes of water, a rubber band and a
straw.

In my opinion, this album was where I first felt I had the program
down well enough and started to concrete my style.

Thanks. Gonna have to look into those.
Also pretty cool idea to use Audacity for composition.

This one is an audacity song. Well, I had this like, three second noise burst and went from there. https://troublesalad.bandcamp.com/tr...iulquoigmnzhah

I felt that by masturbating to porn I was, in effect, getting off on watching women doing something they don't want to do. Once that struck home I had to quit. I still masturbate. Only now I use the memories of porn! haha.

So now its just your own mind devaluing women and making you feel bad. Bravo man Bravo.

There's probably some kind of debate to be had here, but I don't feel strongly enough about the topic to have it.
But you're giving me ideas. I might stop watching porn for some time just as an experiment.

Not gonna say it blew me away, but it's not bad and certainly a cool, unusual way to make music.

Mondo Bungle 01-11-2016 04:25 PM

They're the ones who joined the porn industry

Why? Do you not eat at a restaurant just because the waiter doesn't really wanna bring you food? They're professionals. Don't be such a pansy.

And you're forgetting all the homemade, amateur porn which may or may not be made with simple sluttiness in mind.
