Gonna have to give it to the South Indian Dinner; the other option looks good but the Indian dinner is more filling, mmm...

South Indian Dinner - 4 Falafel - 2 quick and easy to eat on the go....with a little yogurt sauce...hmmmm i prefer North Indian food....dal saag is near perfection |
My liquor store guy is Indian. I was asking him about the food and he made me a chicken saagwala(?) That **** crushes a falafel.
Indian dinner-5 falafel-2 |
I wanted to throw in chicken masala, but I wanted a vegetarian friendly round. It will pop up in the future, though...
I'm actually quite surprised at how many people are going for the South Indian Meal...most people I hang out with are scared to death of Indian food. |
I FUCKING LOVE INDIAN FOOD! Though I don't know the difference between north or south. They don't exactly say that when you go to a restaurant.

Even midwestern folk? I've found most of them to be really asses about food. In fact, there was some hick in the Thai restaurant I was at today being loud as hell about how all the food looked like puke to him. Everyone in that place was giving him the evil eye. Anyways, the South Indian meal is the winner. Coincidentally, James included another Indian meal in his request. I'm curious to see just how much everyone here likes Indian food, so I'm still going to do it. http://www.gurusauces.com/upimages/5...sala_large.jpg Chicken Madras vs. http://www.saltramclub.co.uk/Roast_Beef_Dinner.jpg Roast Beef Dinner and PM suggestions, or I'm just gonna keep picking them... |

I've seriously never had Indian food, and that roast looks disgusting.
However... Roast - 3 Chicken Madras - 0 |

Well damn, head to your local Indian restaurant, like, tomorrow. You won't regret it. |
I can't vote for the Indian food because I've never tried it (as good as it looks), but roast beef doesn't belong anywhere but thin-sliced on a sandwich so I'm abstaining.
|
Sunday Roasts don't always have be beef roasts, my nan would often do pork roasts, or sometimes chicken roasts. It's such a simple, filling, and delicious meal. That said I love me my Indian food and had a great curry on Thursday at a friends place, but Sunday Roasts were one of my favourite things about living in the UK.

What other British dishes did you take a liking to? Sasuage and mash? |
Bangers n Mash was up on the list, steak and kidney pie, steak and Guinness pie, Thursday night curry special at Whetherspoons... Toad in a Hole, Cornish pastie etc.
|
I've never had toad in the hole and to this day I can't fathom why.
|
That Indian stuff looks really tasty (a lot better than the last one) so I'll give it my vote even though I haven't tried it. Roast beef is overrated and bland.
Chicken madras 1 Roast beef 3 PS: is it okay for me to vote even though I've never tried the first food? I know that upsets some people, but it's your call, duga. |
I wouldn't say all British food is great, you guys do have some pretty messed up things. I mean haggis? Or spotted dick? Your fried food is WAY too greasy, to the point where I could rub it on the wall and it would become transparent. Whenever I ate Italian food and ordered a pesto sauce it was way too creamy and light, definitely not how it's suppose to taste.
|
I've never had spotted dick in my mouth, or any other shite like that.
When British food is good, it's really good. I just ignore the bad. We have a great Italian near where I lived, it's really expensive but it's so so so good. Then again, I've never tried Italian food outside of Manchester. Except in Spain, but all I had was pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had so I don't know. I had a roast dinner from my local, and the potatos were quite clearly Aunt Bessie's. It was an abomination of a roast. But like I say, when it's good - it's really good. |
^^Is that a poem?

I'm currently trying to get it published. |
Now I imagine TCS in his hipster outfit reading poetry at a trendy coffee shop and the crowd snapping their fingers...

People who are particular about the coffee they drink, how it's made, and where they drink it. I was astonished. I bet in this picture you've concocted in your mind, you're in the audience snapping your fingers along. |

I went to the Indian buffet for lunch today and it was great. But I was disappointed they didn't have any Saag Paneer, which is one of my favorite dishes. They usually have it, hope they didn't permanently change their buffet offerings.
INDIAN FOOD. Oh my god I am falling into a coma and I cannot work. |
Chicken Mandras>Those greyish purple looking disasters. Maybe some chick peas and naan bread too, mmm.

Oh god, Chicken Madras by far. Love that stuff and roast beef (or roast whatever) is really not all that great.

Chicken Madras looks a tad more inviting ^^ Roast beef just remind me too much of school dinners -____- *thumbs down for the gravy*
Chicken Madras: 7 Roast Beef: 4 |
Roast Beef by far. Madras can be far too sweet if not made properly and if beef is cooked correctly then it is sublime.
