Hey, that was pretty sweet.
What do you use to animate?

someonecompletelyrandom 12-14-2010 09:43 PM

Currently exploring Anime Studio Pro 7. It comes with a physics feature which is pretty awesome. I also have used Toon Boom Pro, but tbh I don't like it nearly as much.

I see.
I've always wanted to mess around with animation but have never known any good methods. When I was a kid, I used to make flip-book animations in the margins of all my mom's books and I guess the interest came from that.

I'm interested to see what else you come up with as you explore the program.

Lol...WTF!?

That was pretty cool. Just out of curiosity, how long does that take?

Btw...I want more.

I used to do the same thing, haha. If you had the patience for that as a kid, you'd probably be good at using software to do it. Now a lot of it is done with tweening instead of true frame-by-frame so it's become far more streamlined nowadays. Anime Studio seems like a great place to start, there's a lot of things for beginners so it makes me wish it were my first animation program I've used.

Flash is also fairly easy to learn, but is harder to use overall.

Thanks! That 3 seconds took about 15 minutes, but that's not always average time.

This is a clip from an animated sitcom our studio's been working on featuring music from our very own Catie Yerkes (swim).
