2004? Nice. As soon as I'm in blue I'll repost the banter when threads get derailed here.

Nothing against this thread or your doing Freebase but all threads are bound to go slightly off topic at times which I think is natural and not a bad thing. (as long as there brought bback on track) Although I m not defending some of my excessive argue bantering on certain threads, I am defending others slightly off topic posts on occasion.

Sweet.

Yea, I used an old thread just for extra extra assurance that additions won't overthrow the initial post I made. I could have gone with 2007 or something, but I had just clicked the 'last' link in the thread graveyard and a random thread, so yea.

This thread isn't for slightly offtopic stuff. It's just for scenarios where a mod finds him/herself inclined to clean up a thread but doesn't necessarily think the actual discussion warrants deletion.
I don't see what problem anyone would have if their offtopic discussions are moved to a different thread, seeing as how they have nothing to do with the original thread.

Copy an old post into the thread, then merge that post with your post you want to appear first... choose the old post in the very first dropdown and the username of the post you want to appear first.
Afterwards, just edit out the content that was merged into your post.

No thats fair, I was simply pointing out the fact that some threads do get derailed momentarily and I do not think thats always necessarily bad, its bound to happen.

You, sir, are quite the outside-the-box thinker!

Not my idea, actually. It's in the FAQ of the mod guide! :D
Although the instructions listed there can be a bit confusing.

What is this mod guide of which you speak?
