Is Man Inherently evil?
 

Ok so I have to do a debate in class and the topic is:
"Is Man Inherently Evil?"
So yah i really need good arguments cause i have to beat this ****ing guy in my class haha..were always in competition!..Not that i really care but he jsut makes me so mad!

No, I believe that man as a whole isn't evil because if some are then others aren't which compensates for the men that are. However, man as a whole can't possibly be evil, it's too much effort. All men in life want what is best for them or the people they love. Through this they try and do anything to help themselves or loved ones. This includes being evil to others "not loved" to get what they want. Basically, man is misunderstand to be evil by the Earth for using it and God for..everything, if God exists. If God exists, he is probably sitting on a cloud with some opium saying,"Bloody little bastards down there.."

You can't label someone as entirely evil or entirely good. A persons actions and motives are far too complicated to be lumped together under one label like that. Someone may commit evil acts over the course of their life, but it is impossible to declare the entirety of man's nature as evil or good.

Most of the arguments your opponent will come up for man being evil you should be able to turn into selfish and destructive, but there is usually a motive that is far from evil in every bad thing man does. True evil is an unusual strain, people are locked away from everyone else in prisons or hospitals if they are found to be doing things truly evil, and basically studied. If man was evil, we would not see it as some sort of personality defect resulting in being isolated and sactioned.
